Artist Bio for Sundance Film Festival
Artist Stephanie Dillon draws inspiration from the notion that beauty is everywhere, even in places you’d least expect. Stephanie first took to painting as an emotional outlet after her breast cancer diagnosis, and it soon became a passion that has shaped how she shares feelings of pain, joy, grief, and gratitude. By repurposing damaged and abandoned art with her trademark flare, selling it, and donating a portion of the proceeds to charity, not only is Stephanie weaving her passions for philanthropy and advocacy, but she’s delivering the message that she set out to share:  beauty goes deeper than appearance and perhaps it’s the damaged parts of everything that hold the most value.
